Monitoring of topsoil-stripping took place in April 2006 prior to construction taking place on the site. The site was located outside the area of the medieval town of Wexford. A number of stone-and-brick wall foundations were uncovered, along with a stone-and-brick-constructed well and a long feature containing large amounts of brick rubble. Monitoring also took place of the demolition of a one-bay house structure.
The stone-and-brick walls possibly formed part of a walled garden, with a well located in the southern end. The structure containing the brick rubble was possibly an animal outhouse. The well consisted of a stone-and-brick-built structure that measured 3.85m by 1.3m by 2.2m in depth. It was made up of two parallel walls, with seven steps leading down to an arched chamber where the water level was. No dating material was recovered from any of the structures and it is likely that they date to the late 19th century.
