Monitoring of groundworks was undertaken prior to the commencement of construction activity at a site in Rochestown, Drinagh. The groundworks involved topsoil-stripping of the development site to a depth of 0.2–0.4m, where a compact, orange, sandy subsoil was encountered. No features or deposits of archaeological significance were uncovered at this site.
