Test-trenching was undertaken to the rear of this small terraced building in August 2006. Due to the small size of the proposed extension, only a single test-trench and four small test-pits were excavated. The test-trench measured 6m in length and 1m in width. The test-pits measured 1m2.
The stratigraphy uncovered consisted of 0.1–0.3m of dark-brown garden soil overlying a compact orange subsoil. The garden soil contained fragments of modern white china and other household debris.
