Monitoring was undertaken as part of granted planning permission to build a dwelling house and undertake associated site works at Courthoyle Old, c. 12km east of New Ross. A ringfort is just to the south-west of the house site. No archaeological features were uncovered in the course of monitoring groundworks. Evidence emerged for agricultural cultivation on the site, which was apparent by the presence of numerous furrows.
