As part of a private housing development on the site of a large, possibly rectangular, moated enclosure, a desk-based assessment, test-trenching and monitored topsoil-stripping has taken place. Approximately 40m of a 4m-wide ditch has been exposed and a mitigation strategy for the preservation in situ of the archaeology is currently ongoing.
