Monitoring of groundworks was undertaken at the site of a new DOE test centre. The groundworks involved topsoil-stripping of the development site to a depth of c. 0.3–0.4m, where subsoil was encountered. No features or deposits of archaeological significance were uncovered during the monitoring exercise.
