Planning permission was granted to refurbish and extend a single-storey structure, to install a wastewater treatment plant and to adjust the existing driveway at Paddinstown Lower, Ballynacarrigy. Monitoring was required of all groundworks associated with the construction of a new entrance from the public road. The site is located immediately across the road from WM010–031 (ringfort); a castle site (WM010–030) is located 150m to the south-east. The ground level was higher behind the field fence. It was retained by a large rectangular boulder that was laid on edge on its long axis; loose stones and clay were placed behind the large boulder. The natural subsoil behind the field fence comprised loose, stony light-brown clay. Nothing of archaeological significance was exposed during monitoring.
