Following the discovery of a probable 17th-century wooden window in the small yard behind 6 Henrietta Street, Waterford, a full archaeological impact assessment of the proposed refurbishment of the property has been requested. A building survey and one test-trench (in front of the window) found 17th- and 18th-century building remains below and above ground level. The present terraced building, of the early 19th century, incorporated the brick gable of a tall roadside building to the north and low 17th-century buildings behind.
