The Waterford main drainage scheme is situated in Waterford city on both sides of the River Suir. Monitoring of all subsurface works on the scheme on behalf of Waterford City Council is ongoing.
During monitoring, the site of a burnt mound associated with two gold bracelets of late Bronze Age date came to light at Ballymaclode. This was excavated between September and October 2006 by Dave Pollock (see No. 1968, Excavations 2006, 06E0990).
