Test-trenching was undertaken within a proposed development area. Evidence was uncovered for use as a modern dump area in some parts of the site and a number of pits filled with modern debris were uncovered. A linear feature of unknown date but which may be part of a ditch associated with an old boundary fence was found. A modern drain traversed part of the site. The depth of soil suggests it derived from use of the site as a garden over several years, where organic material and household waste were added to increase soil fertility.
