These sites were identified during Phase II test excavation of the N8 Cashel to Mitchelstown road improvement scheme carried out in May 2006. The sites were subsequently excavated in June 2006. These sites were thought to be archaeological in nature but, on investigation, the features identified were found to be geological and agricultural in origin.
