Additional excavation was carried out as part of the M8/N8 Cullahill to Cashel road improvement scheme. An additional 400m2 area was stripped of topsoil around a feature, a small post-hole, revealed during testing in September/October 2005 (Excavations 2005, No. 1388, A027/011). Excavation revealed a post-hole that was oval in plan, concave in profile and measured 0.4m in diameter by 0.35m in depth, with a dark-brown sandy clay fill with some charcoal. No further archaeological features or deposits were revealed in this site.
