A programme of afforestation at Monroe West, Ardfinnan, covering a total area of c. 15ha, was located near an enclosure (TI088–004) in the townland of Kilballygorman and an abbey (TI088–005) in the townland of Ladysabbey. Exclusion zones were set around these sites and monitoring was required in the areas (c. 3ha) around these zones. The method of planting was by ploughing, with saplings set c. 1.8m apart. No archaeological finds or features were recovered during the course of monitoring this area.
