Monitoring of topsoil-stripping at Lisronagh, near Clonmel, uncovered features previously identified in testing by CaitrĂona Gleeson (Excavations 2005, No. 1442). After the topsoil was removed, a linear ditch was uncovered that ran in a north-west/south-east direction through the centre of the site, being a former field boundary. There was also a burnt area with two pits, located in the north-eastern corner of the site. Excavation of these pits uncovered some sherds of pottery and fragments of bone, which may indicate that these pits were used as rubbish pits.
