This bog was surveyed as part of the 2006 Peatland Survey, which concentrated in Bord na Móna’s Littleton group of bogs. Longford Pass Bog measures 265ha in size and is located north of the N8. Six sites were recorded in this bog, which comprised a substantial gravel and plank trackway dating to 986 bc, two further plank trackways, a roundwood trackway, a possible animal trap and an archaeological wood site.
