A series of test-trenches were excavated on the footprint of the proposed development of a single dwelling at Cappauniac, Bansha, as the site lies at the edge of the constraint zone of Cappauniac tower-house. No features or finds of an archaeological nature were uncovered in any of the trenches opened.
