Two trenches were excavated, one in the area of a new agricultural building within a farmyard and the other to the rear of the yard where a slurry storage tank is proposed. The area between the two trenches had been tested in 2005 (05E0431), finding nothing of archaeological significance. The first trench revealed make-up levels for the farmyard directly overlying subsoil with no features cut into the subsoil. The second trench contained a 1.3–1.6m-diameter oval pit with a smear of charcoal in the base, which was cut c. 0.3m into the subsoil. No finds were made in the pit, which remains of indeterminate date and function.
