Six test-trenches were opened on the site of a single-house development in the townland of Kilmorgan, Ballymote. Situated to the east of the house site is a monument classified as ecclesiastical remains. It comprises a ruined church with an associated graveyard, holy well, a mill, field system and a possible enclosure. No archaeological features were uncovered in any of the test-trenches.
