Testing was undertaken at Castle Street, Roscommon, as part of granted planning permission to build an apartment block and six houses. Six test-trenches were opened on the site. Eight features were discovered during testing, comprising two pits, five furrows and a field drain, all of which were of relatively modern provenance, with none dating prior to the mid-19th century at the earliest.
