Testing was undertaken at Castle Street, Roscommon, as part of granted planning permission to demolish a derelict building and construct a three-storey building comprising seven retail units, office space and eight apartments. Eight test-trenches were opened on the site. Nothing of archaeological significance was found in any of the test-trenches.
