Six test-trenches were opened on the site of a single-house development in the townland of Knockanaconny, c. 1km south-west of Ballaghaderreen. Situated c. 50m to the south on the opposite side of the public road to the site are the remains of Glebe Castle. Other than evidence for some agricultural cultivation on the site, nothing of archaeological provenance was found.
