A programme of monitoring was carried out during 2005 and early 2006 during the laying of a pipeline that forms part of the Tullamore water supply scheme. Monitoring was carried out within the townlands of Ardan, Gormagh and Durrow Demesne. Nothing of archaeological significance was identified during the course of monitoring.
