Monitoring was conducted during the groundworks of a site being further developed at Haggard Street, Trim, in January. The site is located within the area of archaeological potential of Trim town. The existing building on the site was being demolished and replaced with a new building. An extension had been previously added to the rear of the premises and the work monitored (Excavations 1999, No. 716).

A wall was observed in the east foundation trench, running north–south. The top of the wall was 0.6m below the present level of Haggard Street. It measured 3.9m by 0.3m high, one course high on top of a foundation of small stones. One sherd of medieval pottery was associated with the wall. The wall was left in situ.
