Planning permission was applied for to construct a dwelling house with associated garage, driveway and percolation area at this location. The site is part of a larger field, along the north side of which is located a linear earthwork site known as The Knockauns, ME017–049. This monument forms part of the Teltown group of monuments (Teltown an ancient assembly site in County Meath, in Archaeology Ireland Heritage Guide, No. 3). The proposed house site lies c. 250m to the east of the monument. An assessment of the site was required. Eight trenches tested the footprint of the house, garage, driveway and percolation. No archaeological features were exposed. No artefacts of any date were recovered. In August 2007 monitoring was carried out during groundworks on the site. Nothing of archaeological significance was exposed.
