Testing was undertaken on a site at Drumsawry, Oldcastle, as part of an assessment to be submitted with a planning application for a single dwelling. The site is located in an area with a high concentration of monuments. It is c. 200m south-west of ME009–042, listed as a possible castle, and c. 300m north-east of ME009–041, listed as a cairn. Three test-trenches were excavated on the site. The testing disclosed no material of an archaeological nature.
