Test-trenching was carried out on December 9 2006 in advance of the erection of a slatted unit on a working farm located 2km north-east of the village of Drumconrath. A standing stone (ME006–005) is located some 30m from the proposed new unit.
Five test-trenches were opened. No trace of any archaeological remains came to light in any of them.
