This site was located within Contract 2 (Dunshaughlin to Navan) of the proposed M3 Clonee to north of Kells motorway and was identified during advance testing by Jonathan Dempsey between April and May 2004 (Excavations 2004, No. 1336, 04E0415). Testing revealed a stone spread, which corresponded to the location of a stone structure marked on the first-edition 6-inch OS map of 1836. Full resolution of the site occurred in July 2006, but no evidence of the structures or stone spreads survived and no further archaeological features were identified. It is likely that the site was destroyed due to the impact of agricultural practices.
