Excavation of this site took place at a planned housing scheme. The site was one of a number identified as a result of extensive testing (Excavations 2005, No. 1078, 05E0963).
A concentration of four pits and five post-holes was excavated. The main feature was a shallow pit measuring 2.1m by 1.6m by 0.19m filled with firm, mid-yellow/brown silty clay with occasional pockets of charcoal-rich dark-brown silty clay. Most of the pits and post-holes were located to the west of this pit and might indicate a shelter for whatever activity was taking place at the larger pit. The features here could be associated with features at nearby sites 06E0475, a kiln (c. 40m to the north-west, see No. 1374, Excavations 2005), and 06E0472, a hearth (c. 90m to the south-west, see No. 1373, Excavations 2005). No finds were recovered from any of the features.
