Six test-trenches were excavated in advance of the proposed construction of a retail/commercial building with sewage works at Rathbranagh, Croom. These were situated within the western zone of potential for LI021–162, classified as earthworks. Each trench indicated modern disturbance, redeposition of topsoil and hardcore. Nothing of an archaeological nature was discovered during testing.
