Monitoring was carried out of a playground site at Castlecourt, Sarsfield Street, Kilmallock. The development consisted of the construction of a playground on a greenfield site adjacent to the standing medieval town wall. The removal of topsoil and the excavation of foundations for play equipment, a perimeter fence and an ESB cable trench were all monitored and no archaeological finds or features were noted.
