Ten trenches were excavated in advance of the construction of a dwelling house with ancillary buildings and driveway. The proposed site was partially located within the zone of archaeological potential for LI023–034, a standing stone, and in proximity to LI023–035, an ancient routeway. The trenches were placed across the footprint of the proposed development. The average depth of the trenches was 0.4m and all exposed the natural parent material. Nothing of an archaeological nature was discovered during this testing.
