An assessment associated with the construction of a proposed dwelling and associated septic tank/percolation unit, driveway and two soak pits was undertaken at Ballinlough, Kilteely, Co. Limerick. Three test-trenches were excavated across the areas that would be directly impacted upon by the proposed development. No archaeological deposits or artefacts were retrieved during this excavation. A relict field boundary was present within all three trenches; cartographic evidence of the former presence of field boundaries is visible on the first-edition OS map, where the field was clearly subdivided into several smaller plots.
