The proposed site for two houses was tested prior to development. The site was located in Anglesborough townland on the southern perimeter of an Anglo-Norman moated enclosure, li057–040. No aboveground archaeological features were visible. Eight test-trenches were opened in the footprint of the house foundations, entranceway and percolation areas. Nothing of archaeological significance was uncovered.
