Testing was undertaken to the rear of a number of properties fronting Main Street, Manorhamilton, as part of granted planning permission to build a mixed development. The site is within the zone of archaeological potential of the historic town of Manorhamilton. Eleven test-trenches were opened on the site. The results from the testing indicated there was no human activity (pre-18th-century) on the site other than gardening.
