Testing was undertaken with respect to a mixed-use development located to the rear of Main Street/Link Road, Portarlington. The site is located within the designated zone of archaeological potential for the town. There are no known monuments or features situated within, or in the immediate environs of, the subject site. Five test-trenches were excavated by machine within the site and nothing of archaeological interest was uncovered.
