Six test-trenches were opened on the site of a single housing development in the townland of Grove, Cuffesgrange. The development site was situated in a field opposite Grove ruined church and graveyard. The features revealed comprised two field drains. Due to the fact that both drains were cut within the upper strata of the topsoil, it was considered they were of modern provenance and inserted some time in the 20th century. No other archaeological remains were uncovered on the site.
