Archaeological excavations were conducted for Westmeath County Council in advance of the N9/N10 Waterford to Powerstown realignment during June–July 2006.
A series of five features were located against an existing hedgerow and bank. There were no associated finds, while there was evidence of both burrow and tree-root activity.
