Work on the South Peak this year was undertaken intermittently between May and September and comprised the completion of the excavation and conservation of the oratory terrace, excavation of natural ledges below the oratory terrace, excavation and conservation of the traverse, excavation of a steep gully beneath the traverse and the opening of an initial test-trench on the outer terrace. Funding was provided by the OPW.
