Monitoring was undertaken at this proposed development site for which planning permission for one house had been granted. The site had previously been tested as part of an earlier application and nothing of archaeological significance was found. There is a tradition that both a souterrain and ‘bones’ were found in the vicinity of the site in the past.
Work on the site halted after a couple of days and the development did not proceed. Nothing of significance was found during the time spent on site.
