Testing of a proposed housing scheme at Lislaughtin, Co. Kerry, was undertaken as part of an impact assessment. The site is located within the constraint zone for a holy well (KE003–053). The precise location for the well was unknown prior to the assessment, but the monument was detected outside the development area and will not be impacted on by it. Twelve test-trenches were excavated on the proposed site and no potential archaeological finds or features were uncovered.
