Pre-development testing was undertaken at a single-house development at Knockalibade, Killarney, in August 2006. Four test-trenches were excavated across the site and through the footprint of the proposed dwelling and associated ancillary services. They measured 13–20m long, 2.2m wide and 0.25–0.4m deep; no archaeological features were recorded.
