Monitoring of the excavation of a water reservoir on the Firies–Scartaglin regional water supply scheme, Southern Section, Part B, revealed a pair of parallel ditches that defined a boreen. The boreen was orientated from north-west to south-east, was 4.5m wide (including the ditches) and was exposed for a length of 52m. Post-medieval agricultural furrows were also recorded.
