Test-trenches were excavated as part of an impact assessment at a development of two blocks of three two-storey terraced dwellings which was partly located within the marked zone of archaeological potential for a holy well, KE014–062, and also abuts the zone of potential for a rath and souterrain, KE014–073(01) and 073(02) at Dirtane, Ballyheigue. Four test-trenches were excavated across the site and no archaeological features were recorded.
