Pre-development testing was requested on a site on which it is proposed to construct four semi-detached and five detached houses. There are no known monuments in the vicinity of the site, although there is a ruined 19th-century cottage on the land. Eleven trenches, ranging in length from 36m to 10m and all 1.8m wide, were opened throughout the site. Nothing of archaeological significance was encountered during testing.
