Monitoring work was carried out over the course of five weeks in advance of the development of a wind farm consisting of 24 turbines and associated works. Topsoil-stripping was carried out from the topsoil down to the subsoil for haulage roads and turbine platforms. The site was located on the side of a mountain in very wet boggy terrain. The subsoil varied from hard gravel escarpments to pure clay. During the course of this monitoring activity nothing of an archaeological nature was encountered.
