Road-widening works at Churchground, Kilgarvan, necessitated the relocation of a bullaun stone c. 5m to the south-south-west of its original location. The stone was lifted by a track machine fitted with a sling, in order not to mark the stone. No archaeological material was noted underneath the bullaun stone, which rested on naturally occurring parent material. Groundworks associated with this development were also monitored, but no archaeological material was encountered.
