Test-trenching was carried out in advance of the construction of a proposed water scheme at Cahereighterush, Caherciveen. The proposed line of the pipeline trench of the water scheme lay within the zone of archaeological potential for a cashel. A single trench, 20m in length, was excavated along the line of the proposed pipe trench. Nothing of an archaeological nature was discovered during the test-trenching.
