Testing of a proposed development site at Ballybunion, Co. Kerry, was undertaken as part of a pre-development impact assessment. The proposed development consists of the construction of 111 dwelling houses, 18 apartments, 6 commercial units and outline permission for 92 further houses and 14 apartments on a greenfield site. The site is not located within the constraint zone for any known monuments. No archaeological finds or features were uncovered during testing.
