Trial-trenching was carried out at the site of a proposed housing development in Killeenadeema East on 18 August 2006. According to cartographic evidence, a mill site (GA105–214) borders the site to the south, but no extant remains were visible within the site or the field adjacent to it to the south. Four trial-trenches were excavated along the southern boundary of the development site in an attempt to locate subsurface remains related to the mill. Nothing of archaeological interest was discovered.
