An assessment was carried out on the site of a proposed dwelling at Carheenard, Co. Galway. GA042-074(01), an enclosure, and GA042–074(02), a field system, are located in close proximity to the development site. Three test-trenches were excavated as part of the assessment, none of which revealed archaeological features or deposits of any significance.
